HEALY PASS

Healy Pass is a mountain pass at an elevation of 334 meters (1,095 ft) above the sea level located in the Beara peninsula, in the Caha mountain range. The road officially begins in County Cork and proceeds in County Kerry. Along the way is 12 km worth of hairpin turns winding through the borderlands between these two counties. It’s one of Ireland’s greatest drives.

THINGS TO DO

The Healy Pass dominates most of the Beara Peninsula. The landscapes are mostly composed of rocks and if you’re lucky, you will probably meet some of its inhabitants. Haly pass is mostly known for its breathtaking views.

– Cycling: The most athletic can try it by bike, but beware, the elevations are very high and therefore difficult.

– Sheep: You will have the chance to cross full of sheep in total freedom, all the way to the Healy Pass.
